For the love of
landscapes

Who We Are

We are natural landscape gardeners. What does that mean to us? We believe that plants should be pruned to maintain their natural form (with exceptions like topiary, hedges and renovation pruning).  We believe that plant material is good for the soil and landscapes can look tidy without removing every bit of fallen leaves, grass clippings, etc. We don't use pesticides and very seldom use herbicides, and only as a last resort on extremely invasive species.

We service homes in most Seattle neighborhoods.

Karyn & Andrew have a great combination of gardening skills, professionalism, and kindness. They’re responsive & reliable. Karyn and Andrew share our love of nature & beauty and that makes working with them both fun & rewarding.

the Team

Karyn

Karyn has been working as a landscape gardener for over 15 years.  Though she's dabbled in nursery work and has gone through a master pruner series, the bulk of her knowledge and skills come from working for clients over the years. Whether it's pruning, putting a lovely selection of plants together or weeding, Karyn is at home working in the yard.

Andrew

Andrew is the boy of YardGirl and a workhorse!  He has the brawn and knowledge to work quickly and efficiently.  That said, he has over 10 years of nursery experience and is a plant encyclopedia.  He's always speaking Latin when talking about plants and has a real eye for design.

We love Karyn! She is extremely meticulous with our yard and she makes our garden look amazing.
